What is Bitdefender Safepay?

Bitdefender Safepay is a protected browser that provides a sealed environment that's designed to keep your online banking and shopping private and secure.

It's a web browser that runs inside an environment protected by several technologies designed to prevent man-in-the-browser (proxy Trojan horse), phishing, packet sniffing, and other types of attacks.

What to do when Bitdefender Safepay does not work?

When Safepay does not work, then you should try the repair option of Bitdefender.

The repair option is what solved my problem with Safepay in Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2017, but this solution will also work for other Bitdefender products, such as Internet Security and Total Security.

How to repair Bitdefender 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019

Bitdefender 2019 does not have a repair option, but it does have a reinstall option (which is basically the same). The steps for Bitdefender 2019 are the same.

1. Open Windows Control Panel.

Five ways to open Control Panel:

2. Click Programs.

3. Click Programs and Features.

4. Right-click on the Bitdefender product (e.g., Bitdefender Antivirus Plus or Total Security) and choose Uninstall.

Don't worry. This will not uninstall the program immediately.

A Bitdefender window will appear.

5. Click on Repair or Reinstall (Bitdefender 2019).

The repair process will start.

6. Wait for the repair process to finish and then restart your computer.

This solved my Safepay problem and hopefully it will also solve your problem.
